After setting up your stockroom with location stickers and assigning names to each location, it's time to assign items to their respective locations. This crucial step can significantly improve efficiency in locating items and streamline the packing process when orders come in. Here are three ways you can start assigning items to their respective locations:
Update the location through the Inventory Page
If you've set up your inventory on Invedent, search for the item on the inventory page, click on the product name, and update the location on the item page.
Assign the location when turning on Item Tracking.
If the item isn't in your inventory yet, you can search for it in the Shop and assign the location as you turn on the item tracking.
Set the location during the reconciliation process
When reconciling items after an order arrives, select the "Pack Items Away" option and choose the correct location for each reconciled item.
